Professor V. Shvetsov has been the head of the studio since 1993. Before that it was headed by V. Borodai, the famous sculptor, honored artist of Ukraine, the academician of the Academy of Art in Ukraine, professor of the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture.
     The studio trains experts in all genres of sculpture and bases its activity on the experience of classical world sculpture, national creative traditions, creative work at the department of sculpture in the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. All individual peculiarities of each students are taken into account.
     With the exception of V. Shvetsov, professor Y. Bondarenko and teacher B. Lysenko work here.
     The training is made by educational plan. The fluent studying of a human body by making compositional tasks is the base of the conception of studying sculpture. The students learn decorative means and plastic regularities of plastic forms building, develop own creative thinking, acquire practical knowledge in sculpture, drawing and sculptural composition, wood carving, stone and metal processing. Besides, the students learn the History of Art in Ukraine.
     At the end of studying the students do the diploma work - professional artistic work which becomes the conclusion of all received knowledge in the field of plastic arts.
     During studying the students take part in different competitions and exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. The best graduates can improve their skills at post graduate department of Academy.
