The educational-creative studio

   The studio of artists of cinema and television was created at the chair of painting and composition in the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in 1997. This department which trains above-mentioned specialists was opened in Ukraine for the first time and it was headed by Roman Adamovych.
     The studying programme of the studio is built by analogy with the programme of the department of artists of cinema in ex-Soviet Institute of Cinematography (now it is the Academy of Cinema in Moscow) but it takes into account the specification of modern film producing. The students study drawing and composition according to the programme of the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, have some specific subjects as composition of the cinema, scenariography of the cinema, fundamentals of film producing and the art of camera, fundamentals of decoration building, combined shooting, fundamentals of montage, history and theory of cinema and etc.
     The task of the studio is training artists of cinema and television, the experts in many fields who know painting and graphic and possess different compositional solutions; can paint without a model by imagination and work with decorative material, know architectural laws and styles and can use them in natural and film studio buildings; they have to know the stylistics of costume and the specific character of way of life in different ages. The artist of the cinema have to be able to work out the basic fine arts conception of the film or TV project with the producer and operator to create sketches of the main episodes, explication of creative solution to find future image and stylistics of work.
     During the period of studying the students have practice in cinema and television production; there is also a cooperation with the students of the department of cinema in Karpenko-Karyi Institute of Theatre Art in creation the training films. It enables to use the knowledge in practice and after graduation to have the experience of practical work in the art of cinema and television.
