The studio has old traditions. The outstanding Ukrainian architect, president of the Ukrainian academy of architecture, professor V. Zabolotny was its first leader. His apprentices, professors Yu. Chekanyuk, N. Chmutina, became his successors. The senior lecturer D. Antonyuk is the leader of the studio now.
     The well-known architects A. Miletsky, V. Rozenberg, G. Khorkhot, V. Shevchenko, I. Shpara taught there in different times, that promoted the formation of high creative atmosphere at the studio.
     The senior lecturers D. Antonyuk and V. Zalutsky and the teacher G. Shyryayev work at the studio now.
     The association of advanced achievements of world architecture with features of regional traditions and specificity of the present of Ukraine were always the main creative principle of the work of the studio.
     The works of the students of the studio occupied prize-winning places in student's surveys - competitions of degree works many times. Rather often students took part in competitions, working hand in hand with the teachers, as colleagues, at the projects for Kyiv. Thus, for example, the victory in the competition on reconstruction and building of Khreshchatyk's quarter and the second place in the competition on reconstruction and building of the Poshtova (Post) square area were gained.
