Was born in the village of Vyazove, Sumy Region on 24, September, 1928.
Painter, graphic. The Full Member of the Academy of Art in Ukraine, the member of the National Artists Union in Ukraine, Taras Shevchenko State Prize Winner.
Graduated from Kyiv Fine Arts Institute (the faculty of painting) in 1956. Teachers - S. Grygoryev, M. Sharonov, T. Yablonskaya.
Had a creative work from 1958 till 1973. Works in the field of the easel and monumental - decorative painting, book graphic. Is notable for the width of creative mental outlook, multi-planned thinking and imaginative creation of the theme. Possesses different technical means and technological peculiarities.

Aeronomast" (diploma work, 1956), "Birches" (1964), "The mother" (1992), "Orpheus and Evridika" (1992-1993), "The son of the God" (1994), monumental - decorative art (mosaics) - "Kyiv - Mohyla Academy, XVII-XVIII centuries" and "Lviv stavropyhiyne brotherhood XVI-XVIII centuries", Kyiv (1969), "Illuminated with the sun", Kyiv (1979-1981), "Scythian Ukraine. Hellene`s steppe", Lazurne in the Crimea (1990-1992), wall-paintings of the church Mykola Prytyska in Kyiv (1997-2000), book graphic "Geese-swans" by M. Stelmakh (1966), "In the catacombs" by M. Has been teaching in the National Academy of fine Arts and Architecture since 1973, since 1989 - professor at the chair of painting and composition, in 1993 headed the educational - creative studio of painting and temple culture.
