Was born in Kyiv, on 15 july 1916 .
Painter, graphic. Honoured Art Worker of Ukraine, People's Artist of Ukraine. World War II veteran. Graduated from Leningrad Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture after I. Y. Repin in 1952 (teachers on specialization - K. Rudakov, V. Konashevych, M. Avilov). Works in different styles, genres and techniques in painting and graphic arts. The main part of works are portraits.
Works: easel pictures - 'Abandoned woman ' (1961), 'Behind the living wall' (1965), 'Voluntarily. (The language) ' (1977),the amount of portraits devoted to the culture and art workers, working people and etc.; series of landscapes "Au ways around Poland ' (1970-1972), illustrations to the books by E. Voinich ' Gadfly (1967), R.Djovaniolli ' Spartakus' (1966) O. Hertsen 'Who is guilty ' (1958), V. Korolenko 'Children in the caves' (1964).
Has been teaching in the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture since 1952 (drawing chair), from 1971 till 1977 - was the head of this chair, since 1982 - professor.
