    Was born 2, January, 1932 in the city of Kharkiv, Ukraine.
Philosopher, reader in philosophical sciences (since 1981). Graduated from the faculty of philosophy, Kyiv State University named after T.Shevchenko (in 1955).
Studied at the post-graduate courses at the institute of folklore art criticism and ethnography of the Academy of sciences of the Ukrainian SSR (1959-1962). Has been teaching since 1956.
Carries out scientific researches in the field of aesthetics. Works out the problems connected with the nature of fine art and architecture dealing with the problems of methodology of art criticism of the post-classical period and contemporary art education.
The author of more then 100 publications in monographs and periodicals. Main works: "Artistic thought and spiritual-practical character of art activity" (K., 1985), "Harmonising of environment and the problem of synthesis of arts"(K., 1988), "Aesthetics of synthesis: categories, universals, paradigms" (K., 2002).
Has been working at the National academy of fine art and architecture since 1968. Professor since 1992. The lecturer at the courses of art activity aesthetics and psychology and the history of aesthetic doctrines.
