Was born in Zhadky village, Zhytomyr Region on 29, October, 1929.
Architect. The Full-Member of the Academy of Architecture in Ukraine, Honoured Architect of Ukraine, the Member of the National Architects Union in Ukraine, Doctor of architecture.
Graduated from Kyiv Engineering-Building Institute in 1954, postgraduate department in the Academy of Architecture in Ukraine in 1960.
Worked in project and scientific-research institutes in the fields of building and architecture from 1954 till 1977; the head of the department and deputy director on scientific work in the Scientific-research Institute of civil and agriculture building of Derzhbud in Ukraine.
Deals with architectural projecting and scientific problems in the field of the architecture of village and the history of architecture in Ukraine. The author of more than 200 scientific works, publications, methodical programmes.
Architectural projects: blocks of flats in Povitroflotsky Prospect and Shchekavytska Str. in Kyiv (1955-1957), series of buildings in the villages in Ukraine.
Scientific publications: "Architecture of village houses in Moldova" (1973), "Individual house" (co-author, 1968, 1974, 1981), "Architecture of villages in Ukraine" (co-author, 1987); articles "Architectural science in new economical conditions" (1992), "Studying the folk architecture in Ukraine - the important factor in the training of creator" (1999), "Revival of the national originality of architecture in Ukraine" (1995).
Has been teaching in the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture since 1990 (the chair of theory, history of architecture and synthesis of arts), since 1990 - professor.
