    Was born in the village of Rybchyntsi, Vinnytsya Region, on 6, September, 1941.
Painter. Honoured Art Worker of Ukraine, Taras Shevchenko State Prize Winner, the Member of the National Artists Union in Ukraine.
Graduated from Leningrad Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture after I. Repin in 1971 (studied at studio under the leadership of Y. Serebryansky). Taught in different art institutions in Leningrad, worked at the art groups of enterprises in Leningrad and Dnipropetrovsk. Since 1992 - in Kyiv.
The creative activities are integral in ideological and style destinations, oriented on the ancient spiritual national values. The main themes - the historical events of the past in Ukraine, traditions, customs which have a romantic halo of people's world acception.
Works: painting - "Loyalty to Ukraine" (1972), "Coming back of chumak" (1974), "Green holidays" (1976), "My Ukraine" (1979), "Peal" (1981), "Sorochynsky's Fair. Troisti's musicians" (1982), "Christmas carol" (1986), "Motrya Kochubeyivna and Mazepa" (1987), "Malanka" (1988), "Painted egg. All night long" (1990), "Consecration of the well" (1991); graphic art - "Christmas carolers" (1987), "The goat", "Den", "Christmas star", "Fortune-telling" (1990), "Kupala" (1993), "Pysanka. Candle stick" (1994).
Has been working in the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture since 1993 (the leader of the educational-creative studio of the historical painting), since 2000 - professor of the chair of painting and composition.
