Was born in the town of Haisyn, Vinnytsya Region on 14, April, 1946.
Graphic. The Full-Member, the President of the Academy of Art in Ukraine, People`s Artist of Ukraine, I. Ohiyenko Prize Winner. Was the chief of the board of Kyiv branch Artists Union in Ukraine (1987-1989). Graduated from the faculty of graphic in Kyiv Fine Arts Institute (I. Selivaniv`s easel graphic studio). Works in the field of easel and book graphic, monumental-decorative art. Assists actively in working out and strengthening the new art expressive methods. Creative activity is noted for high culture and artistry of free improvisation.
Works: easel graphic-series "The village of Obradove" (1970)? "Soldiers" week-days (1974)? "Space etchings" (1976)? "Universe" (1979)? "Space-Earth" (1979), "American canyons" (1989-1990); the series of drawing, monotypes, water-colours, book graphic-illustrations to works by I. Franko, O. Honchar, B. Oliynyk, L. Vysheslavsky, V. Hrabovsky, H. Chubach; monumental-decorative art - Gobelin tapestry to the interiors in Donetsk Opera and Ballet Theatre "The tree of the life", "Eternity", "Dance", "Song" (1994).
Co-author of the book "Etching technique" (1978). Has been teaching at the chair of graphic arts in the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture since 1970, professor - since 1985. From 1980 till 1987 - prorector on the educational work, since 1989 - the rector of Academy, since 1985 - the chief of the educational-creative studio of free graphic. Made an essentional re-orientation of the educational process, directing it to free opening of artistic directing it to free opening of artistic abilities of the students. There is a famous school of the print, consisting of Chebykin`s pupils.
