Was born in Lebedyn Town, Sumy Region on 3 September, 1931.
Painter. Honoured Art Worker of Ukraine, the member of the National Artists Union in Ukraine. Graduated from Kyiv Fine Arts Institute (V. Puzyrkov's studio) in 1962. Theachers - K. Trokhymenko, V. Kostetsky. Works in different genres of painting - topical picture, landscape, still-life. The works have lyrical world perception, transforming into poetical art images and picturesque motifs. At the same time shows academical attitude to plastic forms. Works: 'To a new life' (1962), 'Spring in the farm' (1965), 'The portrait of the girl' (1966), 'Spring day' (1967), 'Morning post' (1972), 'Sashko' (1973), 'Small sprouts' (1976), 'Snowdrops on the window-sill' (1979), 'Spring in a partizans unit' (1980), 'Snowdrops of hope' (1985), 'When there is peace on Earth (1986), 'Woman's portrait. Evening rays' (1995), 'Sleep - grass' (1998). Has been working in the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture since 1962 (the chair of painting and composition), since 1990 - professor.
